About Us
Cross Border Films is a London-based production company founded in 2025 by experienced producer and screenwriter Alla May. After nearly two decades working across the European film and television landscape, Alla launched the company to develop and produce distinctive, culturally rich stories that transcend borders.
Alla brings over 18 years of experience producing scripted content in a range of roles across countries including the UK, the Nordics, Russia, and the Baltics. Her background includes work with established companies such as Evil Doghouse and Amedia, and her insight into multiple markets has shaped the company’s international approach.
At Cross Border Films, we create stories that speak to local audiences with global resonance. Many of our projects are set across two or more cultures or countries — or are intentionally crafted to travel internationally. Whether grounded in a single place or unfolding across geographies, our stories aim to connect across languages, perspectives, and experiences.

Development & Production

Production Services Across Europe
Based in London and operating throughout Europe, we provide full production services for all forms of visual media. From location scouting and permitting to crew coordination, budgeting, and post-production logistics — we can scale to fit your needs, locally or internationally.
Global Sales & Representation
We also act as sales agents for select projects, helping filmmakers find the right distribution partners across territories. With an eye on both emerging markets and global platforms, we guide films from festival strategy through to worldwide sales.

ALLA MAY
Executive Producer
Alla May is a London-based screenwriter, creative producer, and founder of Cross Border Films.
She previously held senior development roles at Evil Doghouse, MediaCo and Amedia (part of the Access Entertainment group), working across international projects and acclaimed series including The Moon, Eve Is Gone and Battle. She also created and commissioned the series Rails for Endemol Shine in Russia.
After years shaping stories behind the scenes, Alla launched her own creative path as a screenwriter and executive producer, founding Cross Border Films to develop original stories with international ambition and cultural depth.
Alla holds a Master’s degree in Screenwriting (with Distinction) from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a BA in Documentary Journalism (Dean’s List) from LIU in New York City.

Producer
Olga Paraskevova was founder of a neuromarketing agency focused on visual communication and commercials. Olga has always been drawn to compelling imagery and storytelling. She later studied filmmaking at the London Film Academy, bringing together strategic insight and creative passion in her work.
